Your Information and how I use it

The information I hold regarding your details are kept in Hoylake Holistic and are held under a Privacy Policy this explains how I Stephanie Anne Edwards hold information regarding the service I provide.  I am member of the British Association Counselling Psychotherapy and adhere to their Ethical Framework for the counselling Professions (2016).

I will ensure your privacy is protected and committed to adhering to the information you give me remains within my private practice and not shared with any other party.

All the information I hold on you will be only used for the purpose of our therapy sessions. 

No other parties will be aware of your engagement in therapy if you do not wish. 

If I need to share your information with for example, your GP or insurance company I will always gain your permission first. 

I only use your details as part of my business of by delivering a counselling and psychotherapy service. 

My contract holds your details in order for me to contact you outside our sessions, should I need to change your appointment or to ask for further information regarding your counselling. 

When requested I correspond with outside agencies such as GP, social services, insurance companies and other organisations as discussed with you as part of my service provision if you need letters or reports to support you I only this whilst you attend therapy. 

I only hold this information for the length of your therapy sessions and will keep accurate records that are appropriate to the counselling and psychotherapy service I provided. 

You have the right to ask to see the information I hold about you, please ask me and you can view it in a session. You can ask me to change any information that I hold about you that is incorrect. You have the right to ask me to delete information that I hold about you, which I will do save for that which I have a legal obligation to keep – for example, for my business tax purposes.

Conduct of Sessions and Cancellation Policy

Our sessions would normally be 50-55 minutes duration. I would ask that you arrive on time for your therapy session and be prepared to adhere to the time boundary and finish on time.  If you are unable to attend a session please ring me on my mobile 07484265505 or contact Hoylake Holistics on 0151 633 2151 and leave a message within 24 hours’ notice to let me know you cannot attend.  If less than 24 hours’ notice is given your session will need to be paid for in full.

I would ask that you try to attend and commit to regular weekly sessions as therapy as evidence base practice suggests.  I also ask that you do not attend therapy under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Changes to Policies

I have the right to change my policies at any time however I will endeavour to review these yearly, the next review will be November 2020.  Any changes will be available on line therefore it is important that you check the site regularly.
